Prof. Steven V. Ley - BP (1702) Professor of Organic Chemistry, University
of Cambridge &
Fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge
- Work involves discovery and development of new synthetic methods and
their application to biologically active systems. Prof Ley's work of
600 papers has been recognized by 32 major prizes and awards.
- In 1990 he was elected to the Royal Society (London) and the President
of the Royal Society of Chemistry from 2002-2003

Professor S G Davies - Waynflete Professor of Chemistry, Oxford University
- Prof Davies has published over 380 research papers . He is a member
of the executive editorial board for Tetrahedron publications and founder
and editor in chief for Tetrahedron: Asymmetry.
- Founded the spin-out chemistry service company Oxford Asymmetry Ltd
in 1992 & the combinatorial chemistry company Oxford Diversity Ltd
in 1995. These were combined in 1998 and were subsequently merged for
£ 316 million 2000 with Evotec BioSystems
